The Impact of Top Management Team's Composite Knowledge Structure on Ambidextrous Innovation of Science and Technology Innovation Enterprises： AnEmpirical Study Based on Strategic Reference Point Theory

Abstract：Thisarticleuses listed companies on China Growth Enterprise Marketfrom2OO9 to2O23as research samples to empirically examinethe impactof the composite knowledge structureof thetop management teamontheambidextrous innovationof scienceand technology innovation enterprises.According totheresearch findings，thetopmanagementteam withabackgroundinscienceandengineeringcansignificantlyenhanceacompany'sexploratoryinnovation，whilethose withabusiness backgroundcansignificantlyboostthecompany'sexploitative innovation.Moreover，boththecomposite background in business and science/engineering and the composite interaction between the management profession and the science/engineringbackgroundcansignificantlyfosteracompany'sambidextrous innovationsynergy.Basedonthe extendedresearch findings，strategic flexibilitycan playamediating role between thecomposite knowledgestructureof thetopmanagement teamandthe ambidextrous innovationof theenterprise.Compared with non-private scienceand technologyinnovationenterprises，thepropertyrightnatureofprivatescienceandtechnologyinnovationenterprisesstrengthensthe positive impactofthecomposite knowledge structureof thetop management team on the ambidextrous innovation of scienceand technology innovation enterprises.Compared with single exploratoryor exploitative innovation，ambidextrous innovation synergy has a greater impact on thegrowth of scienceand technology innovation enterprises.
