Qualitative studies on the palliative care experience provided by emergency department staff： aMeta-synthesis

AbstractObjective：Tosystematicallyintegratetheexperinceofemergencydepartmentstaffinprovidingpallitivecarendto provideareferenceforfurtherpromotingthedevelopmentofemergencypallativecareandimproving thequalityofservicein China. Methods：Computerizedsearches wereconductedforqualitativestudiesonemergencydepartmentstaffspallitivecare inWebof Science，PubMed，CochraneLibrary，Ebase，NAHL，CNKI，WanFangDataCBM，andVIP，withaimeframeoftheconstructioof thedatabasetoOctober2O24.Thequalityoftheincludedliteraturewasevaluatedacording tothe2O16editionfrom the Quality Asessment CriteriaforQualitativeResearchoftheCentreforEvidence-BasedHealthCareattheJannaBriggsInstituteinAustrala， andtheresultswere integratedandsummarizedusingMeta-synthesismethods.Results：Atotalof16articleswere included，and66 findingswereextractedtofor1lcategories，whichweresummarizedinto3integratedfindings.Integrationresult1wasemergency departmentstaffrcognizedultiplehallengestoprovidingpallativecareinudingenvironmentalandrsouceconstrantsinte emergencydeparntiuntteialowgendsillsiliireamomgeceprntstaflcoft forthepatientsfmilyamongemegencydepartmentstaffmbguityinteolesofemergencydepartmentstafhighemotioalurdenon emergencydepartmentstaff;ethicalanddecision-makingdilemmasamongemergencydepartmentstaf.Integrationresult2was emergencydepartmentstafactivelydealwithchalengesandreappersoalgrowth，includingsekingpersupporttoreleasenegative emotions;self-reflectiontorekindleenthusiasmforwork.Integrationresult3wasemergencydepartmentstaffbelievethatpaliative servicesneedtbeimproved，icluingtrengthenngmergencydeparmenttasabilitytoprovidepallaivesrvicesroting efectivecommunicationandteamwork betweedoctorsandnurses;andemphasizing familyinvolvement.Conclusion：Therearemany challnges formegecydeparentstaffovidgpallaivearendospialdministratorssouldfultisipliytamfor emergencypaliivcareuildupportsstmfortducenegatieemotiosdoiuoslyiprovetealtyfey palliative care services.
