Summary of the best evidence for self-management of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus

Abstract Objective：To summarize the best evidence for self-management of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus（SLE）.Methods：The PIPOST model of the Evidence-Based Healthcare Center of the Joanna Briggs Institute（JBI）in Australia was used to construct evidence-based nursing questions.According to the "6S" evidence resource pyramid model，clinical guidelines，consensus，systematic reviews，best practices，and evidence summaries on self-management of SLE patients were retrieved from BMJ Best Practice，UpToDate，Guide website.com，professional association websites，and Chinese and English databases in China and abroad from top to bottom.Literature that met the quality standards was screened for quality evaluation and evidence was extracted.The time limit was from January 1，2013 to November 30，2023.Results：A total of 22 articles were included，including 3 clinical decision-making articles，6 guidelines，1 expert consensus，7 systematic reviews，and 5 randomized controlled trials.A total of 38 pieces of evidence were extracted from 8 aspects，including multidisciplinary teamwork，skin management，diet and nutrition，lifestyle，management during childbearing age，exercise，psychological adjustment，and medical treatment and follow-up.Conclusions：The best evidence of self-management of SLE patients summarized in the study can provide reference for clinical medical staff to help SLE patients to manage themselves.
