Best evidence summary for nutritional management of patients undergoing radiotherapy for colorectal cancer

Abstract Objective：To retrieve relevant evidence for the nutritional management of patients undergoing radiotherapy for colorectal cancer and summarize the best evidence.Methods：According to the "6S" evidence model，related literature was systematically retrieved from Chinese and English databases，and relevant professional websites in China and aboard from the establishment of the database to November 30，2023.Two researchers independently completed the literature quality evaluation，evidence extraction，and integration.Results：A total of 10 articles were included，including 4 guidelines，5 expert consensus articles，and 1 randomized controlled trial.A total of 18 pieces of best evidence were summarized from 4 aspects：nutritional screening and assessment，nutritional counseling and education，nutritional intake and treatment，and nutritional monitoring and follow-up.Conclusions：The best evidence summarized about nutritional management plan for patients with colorectal cancer during radiotherapy，which is helpful in guiding clinical medical staff to implement nutritional management for the target population better.
