RIS-assisted multi-cell wireless information and energy cooperative transmission scheme

Abstract:ThispaperaddressedtheenergyharvestingchallngeforIoTdevicesinsignalblindzonescausedbyseverepath loss.It developeda RIS-assistedcoodinatedmultipoint(CoMP)simultaneous wirelessinformationandpower transfer scheme.The scheme maximized harvested energyunder constraints of minimum communication rate forinformation users, maximumtransmit power atbasestations,andRIS phase shift matrices.The altermating optimization algorithm decomposed the coupled-variableprobleminto twosubproblems.To solvethese non-convexsubproblems,the method employed semi-definite relaxationandsuccessiveconvexapproximationforiterativeoptimization.Specificall,apinching-likecriterionhandled the unit-modulus constraints of RIS phase shift matrices.Simulation results demonstrate an 86.9% convergence performance improvementover existing methods.The proposedapproach exhibitslow complexityandrapid convergence,providing the proposed approach has an effective solution for power-constrained devices in blind zones.
