Abstract： Patents are important indicator for measuring the technological innovation capability of a region.The patent information of Baoji from 2O14 to 2O24 was studied in application trends，innovation entities，technical fields，types， maintenance status，and cross-provincial cooperation by quantitative analysis method，to discuss the technological innovation capability of Baoji and provide a scientific evidence for policy-making and innovation resource allocation.It is pointed that the number of patent applications and grants has been increasing，but the proportion of invention patents 29% ） is below the national average，that innovation resources are highly concentrated， with the top 3% of applicants contributing 29% of patent applications; local universities and state-owned enterprises are the main innovation entities，and the main technological innovation fieldsare concentrated in Section B（Operations，Transportation），that the maintenance rate of invention patents is significantly higher than thatof utility model patents and design patents，and enterprises have a higher patent maintenance rate than universities， that there are relatively few inter-provincial cooperation patents and PCT applications，indicating considerable room for improvement in regional innovation collaboration and internationalization of technology，and that the channels for converting innovation achievements are generally smooth.It is recommended to comprehensively promote Baoji’ s capabilities in patent creation，utilization，protection，and management through relevant measures，such as strengthening policy guidance and public awareness of intellctual property protection，actively cultivating high-value patents，promoting diversification in technological fields，fostering an integrated ecological environment of industry-academia-research，and accelerating the international layout of patents，soas to provide asolid guarantee for enhancing Baoji' s technological innovation capability and promoting high-quality socio-economic development in the local region.
