Abstract:Co-sensitization isone of the strategies to improve the power conversion eficiency (PCE)of solar cels.CdS/ Bi2S3 composite powders synthesized on TiO 2 /FTO (F-doped Tin Oxide) glass substrate with the facile in-situ solvothermal method were used to co-sensitize photoanodes with N719 dye to assemble low-cost co-sensitized solar cells with Pt film counter electrode. The results of electronic microscopy showed that the lamella Bi2S3 and CdS nanoparticles constituted CdS/B i2S3 composite powders. UV-visible absorption spectroscopy showed that CdS/Bi 2S3 composite powder possessed the strong light absorption capacity in the visible region, and the calculated band gap was about O.868 eV. The results of electrochemical impedance spectrum and J-V curve test showed that the photoanode/electrolyte interface resistance Rcℓ was the lowest, ,when CdS/Bi 2S3 deposition time was 10 min. Under one sunilluminati,tecelliedashort-ircituretdesitof1.2anope-circuitvolageof.539V,afiltorf 0.595,and a PCE of 3.59% .
