Exploration on Mechanism of Treating Temporomandibular Disorders with Needle Knife Release Technique Combined with Vagus Nerve Stimulation

Abstract：Theoreticaly，this study explores the pathological mechanisms of internal structural disorders of the temporomandibular joint from multiple perspectives，including modern needle knife medicine，vagus nerve stimulation, biomechanical dynamic balance，tension balance of thedeepcervical fascia system，abnormal posture of the craniocervical mandibular system，and Chinese medicine theoriesof treating the spiritand meridian-sinew.Practicaly, theaim is to restore thephysicaland mental balance of patientswith temporomandibular disorders.Initially，vagus nerve stimulation isemployed toactivate the vagus nerve，which helps regulate theemotional state of patients with temporomandibular disordersand inhibit the afferent response of deep pain.Subsequently，theneedle knife "T" techniqueandlocalrelease-basedanterior-posterior needlekniferelease methodareusedtoadjust theabnormal ension of thedeep cervical fascia system，restore the biomechanical balance of the temporomandibular joint，correct the abnormal postureof the craniocervicalmandibularsystem，and promote the circulation ofqiand blood in the neck and face，harmonizing yinand yang.Finaly，case studies are presented to summarize the keypoints of needle knife application，providing insights into thediagnosisand treatmentof temporomandibular disordersusing needle knife therapy.
