Clinical Study on Point Penetration Acupuncture Mainly Conducted on Three Yang Channels of the Hand for Post-Stroke Finger Spasms

Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of point penetration acupuncture mainly conducted on three yang channels of thehand on post-strokefinger spasms.Methods：A total of72 patients with post-stroke finger spasms treatedin theRehabilitation Department of Guangdong Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from March 2023 to March 2O24 were randomly divided into the treatment groupand the control group，with 36 cases in each group， according to therandom number table method.The treatment group received point penetration acupuncture mainly conductedon three yang channelsof the hand，while thecontrol group receivedconventional acupuncture treatment. Both groups were treated for 14 days.Compared the clinical effects，modified Ashworth Scale （MAS） grading，Hand Brunnstrom Rating Scale（BR-H）grading，and Simplified Fugl Assssment of Upper Extremity（FMA-UE）scores between the two groups.Results：The total effective rate was 90.00% （27/30）in the treatment group，which was higher than that of 70.00% （21/30）in the control group（ P<0.05 ）.After treatment，both MAS and BR-H grades improved compared with that before treatment，and MAS and BR-H grades were beter than the control group （ P< 0.05）.Both groups showed an increase in FMA-UE scores when compared with those before treatment！ （P<0.05） ， with the treatment group having higher FMA-UE scores than the control group （ P<0.05 ）.Conclusion：The point penetration acupuncture mainly conducted on three yang channels of the hand for post-stroke finger spasms can efectivelyreduce the finger muscletension，improve the degree of finger spasms，and improve the hand motor function，with good clinical effect.
