Abstract:Thiourea (TU),as a sulfur-containing organic compound,is widelyused in industrial,agricultural, and pharmaceuticalfields.Althoughitsacute toxicityislow,long-term exposure maypose high biologicalandhealth risks,and it has been clasifiedas a Group 3carcinogenby the InternationalUnion for Researchon Cancer.Therefore,establishingarapidandhighlysensitiveTUdetection method isofgreatsignificance forenvironmentalmonitoring and food safety. This study successfully synthesized zinc doped carbon dot nanomaterials( Zn CDs)using a onestep hydrothermal method.This material can directly catalyze the conversion of colorless substrate 3,3′,5,5′ -tetramethylbenzidine(TMB)to blue oxidation product(oxTMB)under xenon lamp irradiation,exhibiting excelent photocatalyticactivity.Basedontheabsorbanceandcolorchanges induced bytheinhibitionofthephotocatalyticreactionby TU,acolorimetric methodwithawide linear range and low detection limit wasestablished.Meanwhile, smartphone-based color recognition was employed for quantitativedetectionof TU.Finaly,the proposed method was appliedto thedeterminationofTUinreal watersamples,andtheresults demonstrated its goodaccuracyandfeasibility.
