Structure Strength Analysis and Optimization Design of Magnetic Levitation Air Compressor Impeller

Abstract:The structural strength of the impeller was analyzed by the finite element analysis method and the influence trend of the impeller structure on the stress and deformation was also discussed based on the semi-open impeller of a magnetic levitation air compressor. Accord‐ ing to the influence trend of the impeller structure on the stress and deformation,the impeller wheel thickness,the wheel relative position, the impeller sealing tooth angle,the radius of the back root of the impeller,the radius of the hub and the radius of impeller bore were adjust‐ ed. The maximum equivalent stress of the impeller after optimization decreased by 34. 5%;the maximum radial stress decreased by 38.7% ; maximum circumferential stress decreased by 8. 2% ;the maximum radial deformation decreased by 16. 3% ;the maximum axial deformation decreased by 6. 1% ;the minimum axial deformation decreased by 10.5% . The static strength of the impeller at the highest speed met the re‐ quirements of the design criteria,the deformation met the installation requirements,and the structural design of the impeller had good refer‐ ence significance.
