Preparation and Antibacterial Properties of Pterostilbene Derivatives Antibacterial Paper

Abstract: Three antimicrobial materials were synthesized via organic synthesis based on the natural biomass compound Pterostilbene. Among them,material Z6 prepared with N,N-Dimethy Wexylamine exhibited significant inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus at concentration below 1 μg/mL. Subsequently,the antimicrobial material with the best performance was incorporated onto softwood fibers us‐ ing impregnation method,resulting in an antimicrobial paper loaded with the optimized Pterostilbene derivative. The results showed that the prepared antimicrobial paper achieved efficient bacterial inhibition at an impregnation concentration of 1mg/mL ,with the inhibition zone di‐ ameter increasing by 88% compared to the control group. Furthermore,the antimicrobial material was uniformly distributed on the softwood fiber surface without compromising the structural integrity of the paper substrate,and the overall cost remained optimal.
