Abstract： 【Objective】 As the forefront and window of China's open cooperation with ASEAN， Guangxi is connected with ASEAN countries by mountains and rivers，and has cultural affinities.Under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership（RCEP） framework，Guangxi and ASEAN countries have broad prospects for cooperation and exchange in modern seed industry development. This study aimed to analyze the strengths，weaknesses，opportunities，and threats in current Guangxi-ASEAN modern seed industry collaboration，so as to provide references for formulating scientific and reasonable cooperation strategies.【Method】This study employed SWOT analysis to examine internal and external factors influencing Guangxi-ASEAN modern seed industry cooperation，and established a SWOT-AHP mathematical model using Analytic Hierarchy Process （AHP）. Through expert group scoring of judgment matrices at both criterion and indicator levels， an quantitative evaluation was conducted to determine the comprehensive ranking of influencing factors.【Result】 The analysis results revealed that the cooperation and exchange of modern seed industry between Guangxi and ASEAN countries have both strengths and opportunities，as well as weaknesses and threats. Among them，the order presented as opportunities η（0）> strengths （S）> threats （T）> weaknesses （W），and the external opportunities was the primary driver for Guangxi-ASEAN seed industry collaboration. Currently，this cooperation is standing at a historical juncture brought by RCEP while simultaneously facing a critical phase of transformation and upgrading. 【Conclusion】 The advantages and opportunities of modern seed industry cooperation and exchange between Guangxi and ASEAN countries outweigh the disadvantages and threats，especially the favorable external opportunities. Based on this finding，it is suggested to vigorously promote the cooperation with ASEAN countries in modern seed industry in the future through strengthening cross-border infrastructure connectivity， jointly establishing new technology R&D centers，building vocational education-integrated talent pipelines， increasing investment in drought and disease resistant crop varieties，and promoting cross-border cluster development of small and medium-sized enterprises （SMEs）.
