Summary of the best evidence for non-pharmacological management of cancer-related depression

Abstract  Objective:To search,evaluate and integrate the relevant evidence of non-drug management of cancer-related depression,and to provide reference for clinical practice.Methods:The PIPOST tool was used to identify evidence-based questions.Relevant evidence on the non-drug management of cancer-related depression,including clinical decisions,guidelines,evidence summaries,systematic reviews,expert consensus,and original studies,was retrieved from national and international databases,guidelines websites,computer decision systems,and professional society websites.The search deadline was from the establishment of each database until June 15,2023.Results:A total of 15 articles were included,including 2 clinical decisions,8 guidelines,4 systematic reviews,and 1 expert consensus.A total of 25 best evidences were summarized in 7 aspects:screening and assessment,psychological intervention,exercise management,traditional Chinese medicine nursing,complementary therapy,health education,supervision and referral.Conclusion:This study summarizes the best evidence of non-drug management of cancer-related depression,provides evidence-based evidence for clinical guidance of medical staff,and suggestes that medical staff should apply evidence according to clinical scenarios to improve nursing measures for the management of cancer-related depression.
