Digital Transformation and Green Technological Innovation in Heavily Polluting Enterprises:The Moderating Effect of Supply Chain Relationships

Abstract: Under the context of "dual transformation synergy," the way in which heavily polluting enterprises can drive green technological innovation and sustainable development through digital transformation has attracted widespread attention inacademia.Based ondata fromA-share listed companies in heavily poluting industries in China between 2Oll and 2O22,this study takes the interactive mechanism of upstream and downstream supply chain relationships as its entry point and explores the impact of digital transformation on green technological innovation in heavily polluting enterprises.The findings are as follows: (1) Digital transformation in heavily polluting enterprises significantly enhances different types of green technological innovation.(2) In terms of supply chain relationships,the moderating effect between digital transformation and green technological innovation in heavily polluting enterprises is primarily driven by customer concentration rather than supplier concentration. (3) Compared to smaller heavily polluting enterprises with mor centralized management,larger enterprises with less centralized management experience a more significant impact of digital transformation on green techno logical innovation.
