基于多相机的超大视角成像技术的研究

Abstract: Endoscopes are essential imaging devices that can access to narrow space for examination. However, the endoscope usually has a small angle of view and cannot observe the objects on the sides. In this paper, we proposed a multi-camera based large angle-of-view imaging technique.We derived a theoretical model for the large angle-of-view imaging technology based on multi-camera to analyze the relation between the structure and the angle of view. Then,by analyzing the impact of each parameter factor in the theoretical model on the final imaging effect, using theoretical derivation, and correcting the model parameters through experimental data, a multi-camera large angle-of-view imaging system with a diameter of 5.8mm consisting of four micro cameras was developed. The LED of the imaging technique can illumine the surroundings and detect the images with a wide angle of view exceeding 180∘ . At the same time, this technology realizes multi-camera imaging with a large field-of-view and automatic generation of panoramic images by image stitching through four images captured by the imaging system. We believe that large view-of-angle imaging technology based on multi-camera will provide better solutions for various fields such as surgery, industrial inspection and monitoring that require large field-of-view and panoramic imaging.
