Calculation and Analysis of Arc Pressure Rise in AIS Cable Compartment

Abstract:Basedon the heatconduction equation,the fluid governing equationand the ideal gas equation,the arcpoweris loaded into thecontrolequationoffluid motionbytheinternal heat source method.Anumerical model for calculating thearc presure in the cable compartmentof switchgear is established.When anarcfault occurs at thecopperbusbarinthecablecompartment,thethre-dimensionalgas flow fieldinthecablecompartmentis numerically calculated.The pressure rise distribution lawand the propagation characteristicsof the pressre shock wave inthe cable compartment during the initial stage of thearc are pointed out.Finally,based on GB/T 3906- 2020,a 40kA ,1 s internal arc test is conducted on the product,The results show that the numerical calculation results of the pressure field are in good agreement with the test results.The error meets the engineering requirements.This provides theoretical support and design reference forthe subsequent design and optimizationof similar products.
