Research status and trends of self⁃management of schizophrenic patients in the community： based on bibliometric analysis

Abstract  Objective：Using bibliometrics method to analyze the research status and forecast the development trends of self⁃management of schizophrenic patients in the community.Methods：Literature were retrieved in Web of ScienceTM，Scopus，PubMed，EMbase，MedLine，CINAHL and PsychINFO from the database establishment to July 10，2022.The results were quantitatively and visually analyzed using BICOMB and VOSviewer software.Results：Totally 379 articles were included.The annual number of articles published showed an increasing trend.The United States had the largest number of publications.The published journals were scattered，mainly in mental psychology and nursing.Highly productive scholars were mainly from the United States and the global author collaboration group was initially formed.The cluster analysis obtained the research topics in this field，namely patient education，self⁃management intervention practice，treatment compliance，family care.In recent years，researches had gradually combined with mobile health care and focused on the population of comorbid patients.The application of qualitative research methods in this field had increased significantly.Conclusions：The related research on the self⁃management of schizophrenic patients in the community is still in developing stage.Patient education，self⁃management intervention practice，treatment compliance，family care are the research hotspots in this field.Mobile health care，comorbidities management and qualitative research methods are the new trends in this field.
