Chongqing Participating in China-Mexico Cooperation and Development Forum
On March 12, the China-Mexico Cooperation and Development Forum was co-hosted in-person and virtually by China International Communications Group (CICG) Center for the Americas and the Senate of the Republic of Mexico, and organized by China International Book Trading Corporation. Its theme was “Continuing Friendship, Expanding Cooperation and Making Steady Progress.”
Invited by the CICG Center for the Americas, Wang Wen, Director-General of Chongqing FAO, attended the Forum via video link and gave a keynote speech. She stated that Chongqing has always taken an active part in the friendly exchanges between China and Mexico. Mexico is Chongqing’s largest trade partner in Latin America. Chongqing is willing to explore the potential for cooperation with Mexico and elevate exchanges and collaboration to a new height. Top on the agenda for future cooperation include: expanding practical cooperation and fostering new collaboration in fields such as new energy vehicles, clean energy, and high-end equipment; building closer people-to-people bonds by enhancing exchanges among young people and organizing activities in education and culture; and deepening intercity exchanges between Chongqing and its sister cities in Mexico through conferences, seminars, food festivals, art performances and project matching.
