Research Advances in Chinese Medicine Targeting the Notch Signaling Pathway for Lung Cancer Intervention

Abstract：Lung cancer exhibits the highest mortalityand incidence rates among allcancers in China，posing a severe threatto patienthealthand imposing asubstantial societalburden.Thepathogenesisof lungcancer is complex，with the Notch signaling pathwayplaying a pivotalrole asa classical regulator in its progression.Modern research has revealed thatthe Notch pathway modulates multiple processes in lung cancerdevelopment，including cellproliferation，apoptosis， migration，invasion，epithelial-mesenchymal transition（EMT），lung cancer stem cels，tumor microenvironment， angiogenesis，therapeutic resistance，metabolic reprogramming，and tumor heterogeneity.Notably，traditional Chinese medicine（TCM）extracts，bioactivecompounds，and herbal formulations have demonstrated potential in intervening in lung cancer by targeting the Notch pathway.This review systematically summarizes therelationship between the Notch signaling pathwayand lung cancer pathogenesis，aswellas themechanisms of TCM-based intervention，aiming to provide further insights for Notch-targeted lung cancer therapy using TCM.
