Pathogenetic Analysis and Clinical Characteristics of Endophthalmitis

Abstract： ObjectiveTo analyze the clinical characteristics of endophthalmitis.MethodsA retrospective analysis of 412 cases diagnosed with endophthalmitis in patients with pathogen distribution and visual prognosis factors.ResultsThe patients were mainly traumatic endophthalmitis，folowed by endophthalmitis after intraocular surgery.The peak incidence was mainly concentrated in men aged 15～45 years. Staphylococcus epidermidis was the primary pathogenic bacterium of traumatic endophthalmitis， while Streptococcus Was the primary pathogenic bacterium ofendophthalmitis folowing intraocular surgery WBC，NEUT #，NLR，initial visualacuity，treatment time，presence or absence of retinal detachment，and presence or absence of trauma had an eect on visual acuity improvement.ConclusionThe pathogenic bacteriaof endophthalmitis are mainly Staphylococcus epidermidis.The visual prognosis isinfuencedbythefollowing factors：trauma，meshdetachment，treatmentduration，initial visual acuity， and inflammation index.
