Abstract：Intherelativelyopenand inclusivepolitical atmosphereof theearlyyears of theRepublicofChina，Chinesesocietyushered inaperiodofrelativelyactive ideologicalandculturallife.Undertheactive advocacyofDr.Sun Yat-sen，theforerunnerof therevolution，andwiththefacilitationofintelectualssuchasJiang Kanghu，anupsurgeof spreading various socialist theories emerged in the Chinese ideological circle.This upsurge presented distinct charac一 teristicsof thetimes：intermsofcommunicationsubjects，organizedgroupactivitiesbegantoappear;intermsofcommunication methods， modern communication means such as public speeches and newspaper propaganda were adopted; interms ofaudience scope，socialistideasbegan topermeatefromthe intelectualclastothelowerand middle so一 cial groups such as workers and peasants.These characteristics not only inherited the tradition of Western learning spreadingtotheEastsincethelateQingDynasty，butalsolaidthefoundationforthelater widespreaddissemination of Marxism in China.However，the interpretationsof socialism bySun Yat-sen，Jiang Kanghu and others were specious，and only the Chinese Communists can truly undertake the task of spreading Marxism.

20世纪80年代，已有学者关注五四运动前马克思主义在华传播问题，他们搜集、整理、出版了一批史料①，为该课题研究奠定了基础。（剩余12067字）
