Abstract：The unique nature of the discipline of the CPC's history dictates that its academic principles and research methodologies should be refined based on the decades of practiceofparty history research.Paradigmatic studies，exemplified by The Seventy Years of the Communist Party of China，have proposed and applied forwardlooking concepts regarding the discipline's distinct characteristics，opennessin academic awareness， and diversity in scholarly approaches. Academic reflections on past party history studies have largely remained within these frameworks， underscoring their enduring historical insights.These scholarly principles and methodologies should serve as intellectualresources for development of thediscipline ofpartyhistory.TheHistory of a Book exemplifies these itellectualresources，ofering both a modelforresearch practicesandatextual foundationforthe acquisition of resources.
