Abstract：Linkl6 is an important horizon communication data link system，and has been widely equipped in all the US Armed Forces.In recent years，the US Military has not only upgraded the Linkl6 data link，but also explored its ability in connecting platforms and actively promoted the expansion of combat chain by sharing tactical data links with other countries/regions.The demand background and the latest progress of the space-based Linkl6 is briefly summarized，and its capabilities is analyzed，the influences brought by itisdiscussed.
