Design of compact fiber coupling module of diode laser

Abstract:A Fiber coupling module based on multiple laser diodes is discussed.16 laser diodes are combined in space by the isosceles right-angle prisms and knife edge right-angle prisms,which make the beams combined on the slow axis and fast axis.Finally,beams can be coupled with the theoretical efficiency of 84% into a fiber with the diameter of 105μm and the numerical aperture of 0.22. In the principle test, the output power of module achieved 37.6W with the efficiency of 73.4% :
