【Abstract】Emaciation isa clinical manifestation caused bymultiplefactors，characterized by itscomplex etiology andwiderangeof associateddiseases，posingsignificantchallenges forhealthcareprofessionals in termsof evaluationand management.Itsintrinsiclinkage toaging-relatedcomorbiditiesandtheimperativeformultidisciplinarycollaborationfurther underscorethenecesityandurgencyofestablishingstandardizeddiagnosticandtherapeuticconsensusguidelines.Thisonsensus providesacomprehensiveoverviewof thedefinition，epidemiology，etioogy，andpathogenesisofemaciation.Itsystematically outlinesdiagnosticapproaches，includingdetailedhistory-taking，physicalexaminations，andauxiliarytests.Furthermore，it elaboratesontreatmentprinciplesandmeasures，asellasmanagementstrategiestailoredforspecificpopulations.Emphsisis placedontheimportanceofcommunity-basedmanagement，encompassingfollow-up，referalsystems，three-levelprevention strategies，andhealtheducation.Theconsensusims toenhanceclinicians'capabilitiesindiagnosingndmanagingemaciation， improve patients'quality of life，and reduce the healthcare and economic burden on families and society.
