Precise MeasurementMethods and Error Calculation Analysis on Exhaust Heat of Diesel Engines

Abstract : Classc methods including empirical method, indirect measurement method and component analysis methodwhich is commonly used for measuring and calculating exhaust heat are introduced,,and a comparative analysis ofabove exhaust heat measurement methods is conducted.The test design for exhaust heat iscarried out on a certain type of diesel engine, including the selection of test measurement parameters and test equipment. The method for analyzing the calculation error of exhaust heat is introduced,and according to the exhaust heat calculation formula,the error sources and the total error calculation formula are specifically analyzed.Finally, the exhaust component analysis and the exhaust heat and error analysis of the test results are carried out.The results show that the exhaust components mainly include carbon dioxide,oxygen,nitrogen and water vapor. Under typical working conditions,the relative eror of exhaust heat calculated by the empirical method is less than that calculated by the indirect method in terms of the maximum and minimum relative errors. The total error of indirect measurement of exhaust heat obtained by the component analysis method is ⩽±5% , which shows that the exhaust heat calculated by the component analysis method has higher accuracy.
