Abstract:Impact ejecting isa critical partof theimpact processand plays apivotal role inengineering applications and scientific analyses in dep space exploration. Its importance extends to space misions such as asteroid surface anchoring for misiontabilityimpactsmpingforsientificanalysisofextraterestrialmaterials,ieticimpactdefletionforplaetay defensestrategies,ndthedetailedanalysisofejecta depositionpatternsonplanetarysurfacestouderstandsurfaceevolution andregolith dynamics. Withsmallasteroids whose surfaces are commonlycovered withregolith,granular targets are employed in laboratorysettings to simulate the impact ejecting proces.This paper presents a reviewof theresearch progressconcerming thebehaviorofimpact ejectingongranular argets.Theformationprocessof impact ejectingand methods fordescribing ejecta curtains areevaluated.An analysis of the dimensional similaritylaws govemning impact ejecta,along withtheirapplicability and limitations,isconducted.Aditionally,theinfluenceoffactors,suchas targetmaterial parameters,impactconditions, targetsurface morphology,and impactorshapeandstructure,onimpact ejectingbehavior issummarized.Finalyexisting researchchallengesareobjectivelyidentified,and potential directionsforfurtherscientificresearchaboutthebehaviorof impact ejecta on granular targets are proposed.
