Abstract: Objective To summarize the development trajectory and research hotspots in the quality of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)decoction pieces using bibliometric methods,providing insights for future research.Methods Relevant academic literature on the quality of TCM decoction pieces was retrieved and analyzed.Visualization software,including Microsoft Office Excel 2O21,Origin 2O21,and CiteSpace 6.3.R2, was employed toanalyzepublication trends,journal distribution,author-institution collaborations,and keyword patterns,thereby clarifying the research landscape and hotspots.Results A total of1,513 research articles were included.Most publications appeared in traditional Chinese medicine journals.Research in this fieldhas undergone two distinct developmental phases,demarcated around 2O19.A total of 412 scholars from 327 institutionscontributed to thisresearcharea,although collaborationswereprimarilyconfined within individual institutions.High-frequency keywords indicated that analytical evaluation and quality controlof TCM decoction pieces were central research themes,aligning with the focus of highly cited literature.Cluster analysis yielded 12 meaningfulcategories.Burst detection analysis indicated that employing new technologies and methods for quality evaluation has emerged as a prominent recent research hotspot. Conclusion While substantial academic achievements have been made in thequality research of TCM decoction pieces,academic attntion and research activity have declined in recent years compared to earlier periods.Moving forward,under the premise of increasingly utilizing new technologiesand methods for quality evaluation and control,efforts should focus on establishing academic exchange platforms,identifying key research priorities,and sharing findings to promote high-quality development and ensure the clinical safety of TCM decoction pieces.
