【Abstract】Objective To investigate the clinical value of thulium laser directed preincision in transurethral columnar balloon dilatationof the prostate （TUCBDP）by grouping andanalyzing the patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia（BPH）.MethodsA totalof73BPHpatientsadmitedtoFirst Hospitalof Shanxi Medical University fromSeptember2O21 to December 2O23 were selected，general data werecollctedpreoperat-ively，andtheywere divided into 2 groups，The control group consisted of 36 cases treated with TUCBDP， while the observation group consisted of 37 cases used thulium laser directional preincision followed by TUCBDP.Perioperative indexes of the two groups of patients were observed and followed up，andtheabove indexes were analyzedcomparatively to explore theeffct of thulium laser directional preincision.ResultsIn thecontrol group，the 12-point dilationrate during surgery was 86.1% ，theadequate dilation ratewas 45.2% ，and the average surgical duration was （28.9 ± 3.2） minutes.In the observation group，the 12-point dilation rate during surgery reached 100% ，the adequate dilation rate was 81.1% ，and the average surgical duration was （ 32.0±3.6 ）minutes.In terms of postoperative recovery，the observation group had a bladder irrigation time of （3.86±0.34） hours，aurinary catheter retention time of （ 3.09± 0.59）days，andanaverage hospital stayof 3.52±0.59 ）days，all ofwhichweresignificantlybetter than thecontrol group[ ）hours， （5.17±0.87 ）days，and （6.08±0.51 ） days]， respectively.Follow-upat1，3，and6months postoperatively showed that symptom scores and Qmax were significantly improved in both groups compared to preoperative levels.The observation group demonstrated superiority in terms of dilation eficacyand early postoperativerecovery eficiency.ConclusionTheshort -term clinical efficacy of thulium laser-directed preincision in patientswithBPH treated with TUCBDPisclearand significant，and itisasafeandeffective procedure.
