[Abstract] Objective To explore the correlation between discharge readiness and hip joint function in patients underwent total hip replacement. Methods A total of 60 patients who underwent total hip replacement in Zhejiang Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Hospital from May 2018 to October 2020 were selected. According to the survey results of discharge readiness， they were divided into the≥25 group （n=32） and the <25 group （n=28）. The Harris score scale was used to evaluate the hip joint function at admission， 2 weeks and 1 month after discharge. The Harris scores of patients with different levels of discharge readiness after discharge were compared， to analyze the correlation between discharge readiness and Harris scores of patients after discharge. Results  At 2 weeks and 1 month after discharge， the Harris scores of both groups showed an increasing trend. Compared with the Harris score at admission， there were statistically significant differences （P<0.001）. At 2 weeks and 1 month after discharge， the Harris score in the ≥25 group was significantly higher than that in the <25 group， with statistically significant difference （P<0.05，P<0.001）. There was a significant positive correlation between discharge readiness and Harris score at 1 month after discharge（r=0.855， P<0.001）. Conclusion There is a significant positive correlation between discharge readiness and hip joint function after discharge in patients underwent total hip replacement. In clinical practice， relevant health education should be strengthened to improve discharge readiness and patient prognosis.
