Application Technology of Different Herbicidesfor Weed Control in Transplanted Rice Fields

Abstract:Fieldtrialswereconducted inKunshan,Jiangsu Province during 2O22-2O23 toevaluate theeffcacyand selectivity of pre-emergence herbicides for weedcontrol intransplantedrice fields.Theresults showed thata single pre-emergence application of either oxaziclomefone 10% EC or triafamone ⋅ tefuryltrione 27% EC failed to provide weed control inwhole-seasonricefields.However,doublepre-emergence applicationssignificantly improved efficacy,achieving >85% control of weed density and >79% reduction infreshweightat 45 daysafter treatment.For fields with established weeds,acombined approachof pre-emergence treatment followedbypost-emergence application demonstrated superior performance ( >93% of plant control and >94% of fresh weight control).Both herbicides proved efectiveforpre-emergenceapplications,though strictadherence torecommendedrates wasessential to prevent phytotoxicity.The study recommends either two sequential pre-emergenceapplications or acombined preand post-emergence approach to effctively manage late-season weed pressure in transplanted rice systems.
