Tearing failure of body sheet metal at fixed seat of certain vehicle jack and its solution

Abstract：The tearing damage of the body sheet metal at the fixed seat of certain vehicle jack is analyzed，and it is found that the system vibration leads to fatigue cracking of the sheet metal in the case of insufficient of fixing and limiting of the jack.Multiple jack fixing schemes is designed，and the improvement plan is determined by comparison and screening.The load spectrum of the test site is collected and accelerated，and the random vibration fatigue analysis on the final improvement plan is conducted. The results show that the improved plan meets the requirements. The fectiveness of the improved plan is verified by bench testing.
