Processing Parameter Energy-saving Optimization for Boring Automobile Engine Crankshaft Holes Considering Coaxiality

Abstract: To address the issues of the coaxiality value of the automobile engine crankshaft holes was too large or even out of tolerance after boring,and the low energy eficiency of boring processes, a study of processing parameter energy-saving optimization for boring automobile engine crankshaft holes was conducted considering coaxiality. The influencing factors of coaxiality in boring crankshaft holes were analyzed and the coaxiality value prediction models were established based on the finite element methods and support vector machine regression algorithms. Then,the energy consumption characteristics of boring crankshaft holes were analyzed,and a boring parameter optimization model was established aiming at specific energy and maximum coaxiality value. The improved multi-objective dragonfly algorithm was used to solve the model and the optimal combination of processing parameters to balance energy eficiency and coaxiality was determined. Finally,the case study indicates that after the optimization,the maximum coaxiality value is reduced by 10.81% ,and the specific energy is reduced by 4.61% ,which verifies the effectiveness of the optimization model.
