Abstract:A2- μ m -band single-longitudinal-mode(SLM)thulium-holmium co-doped fiberlaser enabledby a tunable active dual-coupler ring based compound-cavity(ADCR-CC) filter is proposed and demonstrated.The ADCRCCfilterwithadjustablefilteringbandwidth(full-widthathalf-maximum,FWHM)and transmitanceiscombined witha fiber Bragg grating(FBG)to realize SLM laseroutput.Whenthe pump powers of the main cavity and the compound-cavity are1.8Wand1.1W,respectively,the wavelength of the measured laseroutputis 2O48.510 nm,the optical signal-to-noiseratio is as highas83.O8dB,and themaximal spectral center wavelength andpeak spectral power fluctuations within90 min are O.O06 nmand0.19dB,respectively,with the laseroutput powerof 50.03 mW.By adjusting the equal strength cantilever beam to change the strainacting on the FBG,the SLM laser can achieve a wavelength-tunable output in the range of1.45 nm.
