Situated at the southern foot of Kuaiji Mountain and in Jidong Town， the hometown of Chinese torreya， Zhongxie Village is full of history and culture. Yu-family villagers living here are the descendants of Yu the Great. According to the legend， the imperial concubine of Yu the Great was once buried here. In December 2012， Zhongxie Village was listed in the first group of Chinese Traditional Villages by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development， the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Finance. Walking into Zhongxie Village， people can feel the rich clan culture， ancient architecture culture and mountain area culture of Shaoxing.
