龙门石窟最美观音像

京剧大师梅兰芳在创作京剧《洛神》期间，曾到各地采风。1957年，他来到了河南洛阳的龙门石窟。在万佛洞窟门外南壁，一尊不足一米的小像让他久久不愿离去，这就是后来被誉为“龙门最美观世音”的观音像。

It is said that during the creation of the Peking Opera Luo Shen （The Goddess ofthe Luo River）， the renowned Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang traveled extensivelyin search of ideas. In 1957， the journey brought him to the Longmen Grottoes inLuoyang， Henan Province. There， outside the southern wall of the Wanfo （TenThousand Buddhas） Cave， he was captivated by a small statue， scarcely a meter tall.This statue， later celebrated as the “Most Beautiful Guanyin of Longmen，” left anindelible impression on him.
