Abstract：The Pelodiscus sinensis is a critically important freshwater aquaculture species in China，and its farming industry plays a significance role in promoting agricultural economic development. Ulcerative skin disease is one of the most common bacterial diseases in Pelodiscus sinensis farming，characterized by high incidence，rapid transmisson，and high mortality rates，which have caused substantial economic losses to the industry. This paper elaborates on the etiological characteristics and epidemiological patterns of ulcerative skin disease in Pelodiscus sinensis ，analyzes the predisposing factors of the disease，and proposes comprehensive prevention and control measures from the preventives of ecological，biological，chemical，and immune strategies，as well as breeding management. The study provides a theoretical foundation and practical guidance for the scientific prevention and control of ulcerative disease in Pelodiscus sinensis，thereby contributing to the healthy and sustainable development of the farming industry.
