Abstract:Breaking speed of contact is an important factor affecting the arcing characteristics of contactors. Motion speedofthe movingcontactdependsonspring stiffess,damping,andcompresson.Hence,itisnecessaryto explore he influenceof spring parameters onthe motion state of the moving contact.A constitutive model of moving contact and movable parts during the contact breaking processfor double-break contactors is devoted to being established.Theoretical andsimulationresults indicategood consistency.Subsequently,the influencing factorson the motion speedof the moving contact and movablepartsare investigated.The results demonstrate that the relationship between the final velocity of movable parts and the influencing factors can be approximated by simple functions.
