AbstractThe inversion of pre-stack wave impedance is closely related to the parameters such as incident angle, Pwave velocity,S-wave velocityand density.Compared topost-stack inversion,theinclusion ofbothP-to S-wave velocitiesalows for the derivationof more comprehensive elastic parameters.This enhances theabilitytodierentiate lithologyandhydrocarbon-bearing formations,providinga more accurate foundation for driling decisions.Shear-wave velocity dataareparticularlycritical for pre-stack impedance inversion. However,intheTblock,onlyonesetof S-wave logging data isavailable,and itsreliability isuncertaindue to factors such as mud ivasion.Asaresult,accurately estimating shear-wave velocity especially its hydrocarbon-sensitive variations are a crucial step in elastic parameter inversionforpre-stackanalysis.Giventhecharacteristicsofthe maintargetformations,KT-IandKT-,intheTblock, porous carbonatereservoirs with strong heterogeneity,this studyproposes ashear-wavevelocity estimation method based onanempirical Poisson'sratio model.Thisapproach efectivelyenhances thesensitivityofpre-stack seismicatributes to hydrocarbons.Through test processing,parameters of the Poison’s ratio-based estimation model were selected to the geological conditions of the T Block.A reservoir-sensitive threshold for the uP/νS ratio was identified as 1.8.Based on the uP/νS parameters of KT-I_G formation,the thickness of effective reservoir is predicted.The predicted thicknessis more than 85% consistent with wellverification, which provides a strong support for exploration and evaluation of well location deployment.
