Liquid Cooling-Based Multi-Objective Topology Optimization forAutomotivePowerBatteries

【Abstract】To enhance the heat dissipation performance of automotive power bateries,the coling structure underwent thermaltopologyoptimizationdesignusing thevariabledensitymethod.Initialy,withthe minimumaverage temperatureasthe objective,theinfluenceofdiferentoptimizationparametersonthetopologicalshapeisanalyzed.Subsequentlyamultiobjectiveoptimizationfunctionisutilizedtoobtainthefinalmodel.Basedonengineeingpriorities,theimpactofdifferent weightsontheheatdisipationperformanceof the topologicalstructureandthevariatiopatternsofthetopological structure underdifferentvolumefractionsareanalyzed.Finaly,acomparativeverificationisconductedbetweenthetopologyoptiized coldplateandthetraditionalcoldplate.Theresultsindicatedthatthevalueof thepenaltyfunctionsignificantlyafects the material distribution characteristics.When the filtering radius is reduced to 0.01mm ,afine branching structure can be generated,butitmayleadtosructuraldiscretizationandmanufacturingchallnges.Themultiobjectiveoptimizationesults showedthatthe topology-optimizedcoldplate exhibitsa lower maximum temperatureand pressure dropunder different dischargerates comparedtothe traditionalcold plate,indicatingitssuperiorabilityto manage batery heatdistribution.
