Effects of Silicone Rubber on Rheological Properties and Aging Characteristics of Asphalt Binder

【Abstract】:Silicone rubber modified asphalt was prepared by using silicone rubber(SR)and 90 #.The short-term and long-term aging tests of silicone rubber modified asphalt were simulated by rotating film oven test and pressure aging test.The rheological properties of silicone rubber modified asphalt beforeand after aging were tested by Brinell rotary viscosity testanddynamicshear rheological test.Theresults show thatsilicone rubbercan significantlyimprove theaging resistance,fatigue lifeand high temperature stabilityofasphalt,butexcessive addition ( 14% and 16% )will have a negative impact on the performance of srma.The optimum content of silicone rubber is 12% ,14% :
