Abstract]Thelungsarevitalorgansinthefetusandtheirmaturityiscrucialforthesurvivalofnewborns.Fetallungdevelopment andmaturationconstituteacomplexandhighlyconservedproces.Sufficientpulmonarysurfactantproductionsignifiesfetallung maturity.Factorsinfluencingfetallungmaturationincludeprepregnancyhealthstatusofbothparents，fetal growthand intrauterineenvironment，maternalnutritionduringpregnancy，pregnancy-relatedcomplications，medicationuseduringpregnancy， timingandmodeofdeliveryandefectiveobstetric-neonatalcollborationduringdelivery.Lungfunctionprotectioniscucialfor children’sfuturerespiratoryhealth，reducing theriskofrespiratorydiseases，andenhancing lungreservecapacity.Long-term，italso impactscildren's immunefunctionandoverallfuture health.Thisconsensus emphasizes theimportanceoffetallung maturation andlungfunctionprotection，along withclinical strategiesduringpregnancyanddelivery，topromote healthychildhood development.
