Abstract:Detritalfoodwebsdrivenbysoilfaunaaretheessentialcomponentsduringliterdecompositionandotermateralycling processesinforestecosstemsHowever,thecurenthigfrquencyandlarge-scaleconversionofnaturalforeststopantatiosay profoundlyalterthestructureandfunctionofdetritalfodwebs.Tispapersystematicallyanalyestheeffctsofforesttyecosion onsoildetritalfoodebstroughreepatay:iterharactestiderstorymcoenontnderypthwastly naturalforestsaveelativelyigherlitediversityndmorstableiput,whichsupportcomplextrophicstructursofsolfunabut plantationsofendsplaysinglelitrtandduceliterualityeadingtoimplifdommuitysructuresofsoilfuaodly comparedwithturalforstsatatiosebiteasdgetioesityesdocatiutaiosiio anddeterioratedsoilpysicalandchemicalenvironment.Thesechanges furtherweaken habitat heterogeneityandesourcesupply therebyshorteningthelngthofdetrialfoodchains.Furthermore,thereisalossoftrophiclevelstructure(especialltoprdators) aftertheconvesioofatualforesttoatatiosducedergaerecydlitedabilityofetritalfodwebs. Neverthelesscurrentstudiesstillavemanykowledgegaps,suchasspecificplantatontreespecies,ulti-factorinteractios,nd functionalquantifcationItissugestedthattructure-functionmodelsshouldbeconstructedbycombiningstableisotoptechology multi-factorexpriments,andlong-teobseratiosintefutureeesultswillbeexpectedtoprovideateoreticalsisfor fullunderstandingthehangesincosystemstructureandfunctionfterforesttyeconversion,aswellasfortelototure management of plantations and the conservation of soil biodiversity.
