Correlation between semen routineparameters,sperm acrosomal enzyme activity, sperm DNA fragmentation index in infertile patients with non-liquefaction semen Hu Shufang,Liu Chao,Chen Fei. , ,China
【Abstract】 ObjectiveTo explore the correlations among semen routine parameters,sperm acrosin activity,sperm DNA fragmentation index (DFI)in infertile patientswith semenliquefactiondisorders. MethodsAtotal231infertilepatientswithnon-liquefied semenadmited toour hospital fromFebruary 2022 toFebruary 2O25were includedasthestudygroup, 231 healthymenwith normal fertity history during the same period were selected as the control group.Semen samples were colected by masturbation, sperm acrosin activity,routine semenparameters,sperm DFI were detected.Diferences in various indicators were compared between the two groups.The infertilepatients with non-liquefied semen were divided into three groupsaccording tosperm DFI values:DFI<15% group,15%≤DFI<30% group, DFI≥30 % group.Differences in routine semen parameters sperm acrosin activity among the three groups werecompared, the correlations between sperm DFI sperm acrosinactivity,aswell asroutinesemenparameters,were analyzed.ResultsThe normal sperm morphologyrate,semenconcentration, progressive motility sperm rate in thestudy group were lower than those in the control group ( P <0.05).The sperm acrosin activity in the study group was lower than that in the control group,while the sperm DFI was higher P<0.05 ). The normal sperm morphology rate, progressive motility sperm rate,semen concentration, sperm acrosin activity in the DFI⩾30% group were lower than those in the DFI<15% group the 15%≤DFI<30% group, those in the 15% ≤DFI<30% group were lower than those in the DFI<15%group ( P <0.05).Pearson correlation analysis revealed that sperm DFI was significantly negativelycorrelated with the progressive motilityspermrate,normal sperm morphologyrate,spermacrosin activity, semen concentration( (P<0.05) . ConclusionInfertile patients with semen liquefaction disorder are characterized byinsuffcient sperm acrosinactivity,significant decline in semen quality parameters, agravated DNA damage.Sperm DFIisclosely related to routine semen parameters spermacrosin activity, which canserveasanessential biological indicatorforevaluating male fertility guiding clinical interventions.
