“稽古振今——第八届杭州·中国画双年展”在杭开幕

On February 18， 2025， the 8th Hangzhou Calligraphy Painting Biennale and National Higher Art Institutions Chinese Painting Teaching Exhibition opened at the Zhejiang Exhibition Hall. The exhibition takes “Drawing from the Past to Invigorate the Present” as its theme， focusing on the core proposition of “learning from the ancient masters”. It continues the in-depth exploration of the essence of Chinese painting from previous terms while also opening a broader route for dialogue between the ancient and modern. The exhibition uses the ancient to reflect on the present and the present to carry forward the ancient， aiming to inquiry the contemporary significance and future possibilities of Chinese painting through brush and ink.
