In the early morning of a day in Chunxi period of the Southern Song Dynasty， the morning ring of the wooden fish knocked by the monk awakened Huang Ruyi and his parents living in the Baohe Lane in the northwest of Lin’an City. It was the third day of the Hanshi Festival （also called the Qingming Festival） that only cold food was served. Huang Ruyi didn’t follow his parents to pay respect to the dead but ran to the West Lake to attend a blind date. After seeing the girl off， Huang Ruyi came to Fengyu Gate to join in a Cuju game.
