OnJuly7,dailypassengerflightsinthecountrytopped14,000forthefirsttimethisyear,accordingtoVariFlight,aChina-basedcivilaviationdataservicesprovider.

PopularroutesincludedflightsfromBei-jingCapitalInternationalAirporttoShanghaiHongqiaoInternationalAirport,andShanghaiHongqiaotoShenzhenandGuangzhouofGuangdongprovince,VariFlightfound.

Trip.comGroup,China’sleadingonlinetravelagency,saiditsawrecordhighbookingvolumesofdomesticflightticketsinthefirstfivedaysofJuly,whilethenumberofbookingsforoutboundflightssurgedsixtimesyear-on-year.

InthefirstfivedaysofJuly,ticketpricesfordomesticandoutboundflights—includingtaxes—jumped21percentand22percentyear-on-year,respectively,Trip.comsaid.

AsdemandrecoveryfollowingChina’soptimizedCOVID-19responsemeasureshasbeensustained,carriershaveundertakenvari-ousmarketingstrategies,suchaspromotingproductsduringlivestreamingsessionsandin-teractingwithpassengers.
