Based on embroidery paintings handed down from the late Ming Dynasty to the mid-Qing Dynasty， literati postscripts， History of Silent Poetry， Embroidery Album and other literatures of the same period， this article draws on the research achievements of contemporary scholars， and expounds onartistic pursuit and needling characteristics of Gu Embroidery in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

顾绣（Gu-family embroidery）诞生于明中期的上海，原指松江府上海县顾名世家族女眷以书画为粉本创制的绣画；创始期顾绣工、韵兼全，代表人物“顾姬”及其事迹入列同代纪传体画史《无声诗史》，绣画作品被同时期学界视为绘画的特殊表现形式之一。（剩余4869字）
