Dong Zhongshu （179 BC-104 BC） was a famous thinker and educator during China's Western Han Dynasty （202 BC-8 AD）. He loved studying from a very young age and never wasted any time.

Seeing her son study so hard that he often forgot to eat or sleep， Dong Zhongshu's mother was heartbroken with worry and began to cry. His father then had an idea. He said，“l will have a garden built. Surely， our son will go for a walk there and have a rest."
